Industrial robots and intelligent manufacturing production lines operate efficiently, new energy vehicle manufacturing workshops are bustling with activity, ultra-high voltage projects and markets are continuously expanding… During recent visits and investigations in Jiangsu, Hunan, and Chongqing, reporters found that, by relying on high-level foreign opening-up, accelerating globalization has become a common choice for “China-made” enterprises. This not only helps expand development space but also enables Chinese companies to share development opportunities with global partners through cooperation and achieve mutual benefits.

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China recently showed that during the first half of this year, the growth of equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing industries was strong. Specifically, the production of 3D printing equipment, lithium-ion batteries, and industrial robot products increased by 48.5%, 39.3%, and 28.0%, respectively, year-on-year.

Estun Automation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Estun”), headquartered in Jiangning District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, is a leading enterprise in the field of domestic industrial robots. As the reporter observed in Estun’s robot production workshop, multiple intelligent assembly lines were operating smoothly, showcasing the intelligent manufacturing scenario of “robots building robots.” A batch of industrial robots were ready for deployment, embodying the concept of “Made in China” setting sail overseas.

According to reports, Estun currently operates seven manufacturing bases worldwide, forming a global production and service system that covers major industrial regions in Europe and Asia. In March of this year, the company went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first company in the domestic industrial robot sector to offer both “A shares” and “H shares” on a dual-platform basis. Wang Qiong, Deputy Director of Strategy and Marketing at Estun, explained that the funds raised through this initial public offering will primarily be used to expand global production capacity, conduct strategic mergers and acquisitions, and invest in research and development, thereby comprehensively promoting its global business operations.

The development of the “Made in China” industry cannot be separated from the vast stage provided by the global market. In recent years, Estun has built a global production and supply chain system through its model of “focusing on the local market while serving the global market,” thereby expanding the scope for corporate growth. By 2025, Estun will have more than 3,300 employees worldwide and a total of more than 150,000 industrial robots installed.

From intelligent manufacturing to smart grids, Chinese enterprises have set sail to contribute dynamism to local development. The State Grid Electric Power Science and Technology Institute (Nari Group) is a research and industrial unit directly affiliated to State Grid Corporation of China and a leading enterprise in the Nanjing smart grid industry. It has research and industrial bases in places such as Jiangsu and Beijing, and has 23 overseas offices in 21 countries, including Brazil. Its products and services cover more than 140 countries and regions.

According to reports, in the first half of 2026, the international business contracts of the Nan Rui Group achieved double-digit growth, and the overseas business maintained a high growth rate. In May of this year, the PLUZ AMI Smart Meter Project, a key electric power digitalization project undertaken by Nan Rui, successfully passed the joint online certification by multiple owners and was officially put into operation. This provided strong support for the digitalization and intelligence upgrade of Peru’s power grid. In Brazil, the Beautiful Mountain Phase II project, in which the Nan Rui Group participated, spans the country from north to south, raising the country’s direct current transmission voltage level from ±600 kV to ±800 kV. This enables the transmission of power to load centers in southeastern Brazil, such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, meeting the electricity needs of over 22 million people. It has thus created a high-efficiency, safe, and green “power highway” for Brazil.

From Jiangsu to Hunan, intelligent manufacturing capacity has continued to be released, broadening the company’s global footprint and opening up new avenues for growth. Tebian Electric Power Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd., based in Hengyang, Hunan Province, has actively responded to the “Belt and Road” Initiative, firmly adhering to the principle of prioritizing transformer business as its core activity, and has made internationalization a top strategic priority for its transformation and development. Its products and engineering services cover over 70 countries and regions.

From Hunan to Chongqing, “China’s Smart Manufacturing” has been thriving, unleashing its development vitality through open collaboration. Walking into the modern production facility of Changan Automobile Co., Ltd.’s Chongqing branch, one can see tanks, Changan Cannon, and Haval models being systematically produced. These include models powered by new energy sources. Currently, Changan Automobile has over 1,400 overseas sales channels, covering more than 170 countries and regions, with cumulative overseas sales exceeding 2 million vehicles.

Wang Bingjiang, Party Secretary of the Chongqing Branch of Great Wall Motors, explained that the cumulative global sales of Great Wall Pao have surpassed 700,000 units. He stated that Great Wall pickups are accelerating their transition towards all-scene intelligent and new energy vehicles, with the aim of further expanding their market presence globally.

We will continue to deepen our presence in global markets and steadily advance our global expansion strategy, thereby providing new growth opportunities for “Made in China” enterprises. The globalization narrative of “Made in China” has never been a solo journey; rather, it has been a harmonious collaboration with global partners, growing and benefiting the world through mutually beneficial and symbiotic cooperation.
