How Do We Produce SMC?
Our SMC production process utilizes a fully automated, continuous line to convert raw materials—including unsaturated polyester resin, mineral fillers, and chopped glass fibers—into uniform, mold-ready sheets.
We begin by precisely preparing and metering our resin paste, which is deposited onto a moving film. Glass fibers are then evenly distributed across the paste. The impregnation stage—the heart of our system—ensures thorough fiber saturation and homogeneity through a series of engineered rollers and compaction belts, effectively eliminating defects, such as blister, crack, warpage and so on. This controlled process guarantees the superior mechanical properties of our SMC. The resulting continuous sheet is automatically wound into large rolls under controlled tension and enters a maturation stage. During this stage, the SMC develops optimal handling characteristics for subsequent compression molding into high-strength, lightweight, and structurally complex parts.


How Do We Mold SMC into Finished Parts?
We transform SMC into high-performance components through precision compression molding.
Our process starts by cutting pre-weighed charges from our SMC rolls, which are placed into heated molds. Under high pressure, the material flows evenly to fill the mold cavity, while heat triggers a rapid thermosetting cure. Within cycles ranging from 30 seconds to several minutes, the SMC solidifies into a dimensionally stable, high-quality part.
Our integrated approach—from material development to molding—ensures efficient production, minimal waste, and the ability to incorporate complex features and inserts. After curing, parts are ready for secondary operations as needed, enabling us to deliver lightweight, durable solutions for the automotive, construction, bathroom, and electrical industries.
