The country's major power generation companies completed an investment of 331.9 billion yuan in power supply projects, a year-on-year increase of 53.8%. Among them, investment in solar power generation was 134.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 113.6%; wind power investment was 76.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.3%. The price of complete wind turbines (bare metal) has been on a downward trend since 2021, reaching its lowest point in the first quarter of this year. In addition, global energy storage has entered a stage of rapid development. Since 2023, the energy storage industry has continued to be booming, the energy storage market demand has increased sharply, and the energy storage industry has gradually entered a new stage of large-scale development. Judging from the performance of relevant listed companies, the operating performance of companies in the power sector has grown steadily, and the quality of development continues to improve. Companies related to new energy vehicles/piles, photovoltaic inverters and energy storage performed well, with revenue and profits increasing significantly, and some companies' performance increased by more than three digits. In the wind power sector, affected by the decline in the price of complete wind turbines, the gross profits of related companies have experienced severe changes, with profits declining to varying degrees. However, starting in April, the price of wind turbines began to gradually and slowly adjust. The recent winning results of the wind turbine bidding also show that the price of wind turbines has indeed begun to recover. As delivery becomes better in the second half of the year, the operating pressure of industry enterprises is expected to improve.
