According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website news, from July to August 2023, China's photovoltaic manufacturing industry continued to maintain high operation, the industrial scale and the output of main products continued to grow rapidly, according to the photovoltaic industry specification announcement enterprise information and industry association estimates, the national polysilicon, silicon wafers, batteries, module output growth is close to or more than 80%.
In the polysilicon sector, the national output in July-August reached 233,500 tons, an increase of 93.8%.
In the silicon wafer sector, the national output reached 98.9GW in July-August, an increase of 84.3%.
In the battery sector, the national production of crystalline silicon cells in July-August reached 84.7GW, an increase of 77.9%.
In the component sector, the national output of crystalline silicon components reached 76.7GW in July-August, an increase of about 77.8%. Product exports were 32.7GW, up 11.2% year on year.
According to the summarized information of the above caliber, the cumulative output of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells in the country from January to August exceeded 320GW. The export value of photovoltaic products such as silicon wafers, batteries and modules reached 36.17 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.1% year-on-year, and the downward trend of prices was obvious.
